people, especially young coll. grads have all the sympathy i can possibly offer. but of course they need more than sympathy. I grew up in a NE state where employment was very changeable & jobs weren't too good or well-paying, but often disapppeared like a puff of smoke. my dad had a very poor job, low paying, w/ the elec. utility, but he hung on even in lousy economic times. i was once jobless so i know the feeling--- yr frenz are working, no $$$ coming in, etc. etc.
this is NOT an advice col. but perhaps my exp will help. young people now have way too many disractions. on the street we see them w/ wires leading to their ears, or VERY busy on a cell fone. i had a blk man as a co-worker once & he mentioned there were jobs even during tough times. i think he was right.
